Greenworks is a company that keeps up with emerging trends in different sectors, and this makes it easy for them to create user-friendly products. Most of the recent snow blower models that they release into the market have a power button that allows for ease of use. The handles they use and other parts of a given model as well are easy to understand and operate. They also avail manuals with their machinery, which guides new users on how to handle the gear delivered. With all these provisions handling snow throwers from this producer is made easy.

  • Warranty

When buying any form of machinery, the guarantee given by the manufacturer is a factor that must be considered since they are bound to fail from time to time. The cost of repair or replacement may be too much, and this makes it necessary for one to factor in the provision availed by the producer or seller on the product. Features to consider before you buy a Greenworks snowblower

5 Best Greenworks Snow Blowers - Essential for Any Winter!Greenworks snow blowers have numerous characteristics that one must consider before picking a model. Assessing the various elements is necessary to ensure that the right fit is purchased. Below are some of the features that are fundamental in choosing a snow thrower.

Horsepower

The power required to operate a piece of given machinery is something that ought to be known before it is purchased. This aspect may not be as critical for the battery-powered models as it is for those run by electricity.

The horsepower also indicates the strength of the engine in use, and this is important since it determines whether the model bought will be able to clear the snow in your locality with ease.

In this review, the Greenworks 2600502 is an example of why this feature is critical. It requires a power source with a voltage of 120. It is not able to work with any other provision, and this may be a challenge if you are not sure of the voltage in your home. Always confirm this element before placing an order to avoid electrical accidents, among other things.

Clearing path

It is important to know the width that a given model clears in every move. This feature must then be compared to the area that you have to clear to ensure that you do not get a machine that is too big to fit in the area or too small to get the job done.

Maneuverability is a crucial aspect of snow clearing, especially for patios and sidewalks.

Do not pick one that is too big for the area to be cleared as it may pose problems and not perform the intended task accordingly. Greenworks releases both small and heavy-duty snow blowers leaving the choice on which one to get on you. An example of the smaller and lightweight models available is the Greenworks 2600602 Snow Shovel.

Clearing depth

Each machinery from Greenworks has different clearing depth abilities. The amount of snow you experience in your area determine the types of machine to get based on this element. Some models like the Greenworks SNB403 clear up to thirteen inches while others that we have reviewed above cannot go past ten inches deep.

Weight

Many reasons inform the decision on the right weight of snow blowers to acquire. For starters, you must buy a snow thrower that most of the family members can use with ease.

The area to be cleared and the amount of snow also determines the weight to be bought.

Models with more features and abilities are known to be heavier than those that have less of these in their design. For this review, the Greenworks SNB403 is the heaviest and the most versatile while the Greenworks 2600602 Snow Shovel is lightweight, and it has fewer features and abilities.

FAQ

Are Greenworks snow blowers heavy?

No, not all Greenworks snow throwers are heavy. The materials used in the design of a given model, as well as the construction, dictate the mass of the machinery altogether. GreenworksTools avail the weight of the various models that they release into the market, and this is among the features that must be given priority when reviewing the different models. Complex models with more capability are known to be heavier than those that have been created for lighter tasks. In our evaluation, for instance, Greenworks SNB403 is the most massive model, but it is also the only one that clears more than twenty inches in width and ten in-depth. The lightest model, on the other hand, is the Greenworks 2600602 Snow Shovel, which weighs 15 lbs. but has a smaller clearing path and depth.

Are Greenworks snow blowers difficult to use?

No, Greenworks snow blowers are not hard to use. They are among the most comfortable models to use since their functionality is straightforward. All the models that we have reviewed herein are easy to start since the designs feature a button to be pushed to initiate the movement of the motor, which facilitates the snow clearing process. Other features such as the adjustable handles make it easy for one to get the right height and angle to minimize strain on different parts of the body and make the process effortless. Most, if not all, models come with a manual that gives detailed instructions on how to assemble and use the machinery. This comes in handy to help with any difficulties that may be encountered during use.

How do Greenworks snow blowers work?

Greenworks snow blowers start working when the power button is pushed. The motor is engaged, and this sets a series of other actions in motion. The motion of the motor involves the auger, which is the critical part necessary for snow removal. The auger pulls the snow into its housing in preparation to churn it out. From the auger housing, the snow is pushed into the impeller where spinning takes place. From this part, the snow is shot out of the blower from the discharge chute. The throw distance varies from one model to the next. The type and position of the chute determine where the snow lands. For most of the models from this manufacturer, the 180-degree rotating chute is utilized for the displacement of the snow sucked into the blower.

Hello, Martha! Thank you for the feedback!
Greenworks snow blowers on this list are relatively lightweight and maneuvrable. The manufacturer does its best to make the units easy to use and operate. They shouldn’t be too hard to handle.

I am thinking about buying Greenworks Pro 80V. However, I wonder how durable the plastic is. Has anyone used it for long enough?

avatar
Titus Rosales

I have used this snowblower since November 2015. Last time I hit a brick, the auger started to make a lot of noise and it wasn’t working very well. But then it went back to normal and worked really well for the rest of the day. It is amazing how durable it is even though it is made out of plastic!

I only used the blower once and it did a great job. I hit some rocks and it was fine. Not damaged at all.

I got my Greenworks SNB403 snow thrower a few days ago and I tried it today. The snow was about 6″ deep. When I came home, I used my new snow thrower to make my driveway all snowy again in less than 15 minutes. It only took 1 charge for this thing too. My 2 level ramp is about 50′ long and my wrap-around deck is about 40′. I like this snow blower because it is quiet. It also makes light. It is easy to carry with the handle that is built in, and it is very good for people with back issues who can’t shovel snow. I’ve wanted this for a long time, but I finally ordered it this year, and I am glad that I did!

I was not sure about the Greenworks 13 Amp snow thrower because imo the price was so low. I had to buy it because it was on sale. But after using it, I’m glad that I bought it. It is good for snow in Salt Lake City. The driveway never sees sun, so I had to get rid of the snow fast. A little annoying to have to use an extension cord for this snow thrower. It is not the best on the market, but it’s cheap. The adjustable shoot worked well and I like it a lot. If you need a snow thrower for a huge area and want something that will last you a long time, I recommend going with something like a Honda H Series. But this Greenworks overall works great for me. If it lasts 4-5 winters, then it is more than worth the price. Not for everyone, but still a good buy.

A great snowblower for the money! It is easy to use, can be maneuvered easily and is light. There is one warning that I hope will help you deal with extension cords. The manufacturer’s manual has a chart that shows that longer cords need higher amperage ratings than 13 amps. If you want a 100 foot cord, then the minimum amperage should be 15 amps.
