Best Plug-In Unit

Generac SB15130GENG

Features
  • Engine: OHV cold-weather engine 13HP-375cc
  • Clearing width: 30 inches
  • Weight: 283 lbs.
  • Dimensions: 57.49 x 30.32 x 43.31 inches
  • Warranty: not specified

More features: EZ-turn steering, heated hand warmers, LED headlights, easy to turn, gas-powered

This is a gas-powered machine, and you will enjoy the great turning radius that this machine offers. You will be able to control this unit with ease due to the easy steering design. The pull-start works like a dream, and the cold-weather engine is made to handle even the toughest winter weather. Being able to rely on your snow blower in the intense cold is a huge recommendation that can be made about this machine’s overall function.

This unit offers the right balance of sensitive performance features and cold-weather toughness. This is a well-known brand, and they make these powerful machines that come in small and compact packages. You can store this unit with ease, and it comes with great headlights that allow you to work day or night, removing snow. There are not many gas-powered machines that store this easily, and you will be so glad that this is the case if you have a small garage or shed that your snow blower has to live in.

What do we love it for?
  • We liked that this machine could be used by anyone and that the cold-weather build made this unit durable and hardy under any conditions. You will get great auger ground clearance for tough terrain, and the EZ-steer design makes using this in round or oddly-shaped areas a snap. Gas-powered machines tend to stand up to cold really well, and they are often really easy to start. You might have a little more engine noise with a gas-powered unit, but the performance often makes this small obstacle nothing other than a minor nuisance.
    What were we disappointed with?
  • Parts can be a little tough to source for this machine, and some people do have issues with repairs down the road. This is a sturdy unit that should not fail you, but if you do need parts, you might need to work with the company to find them. You might also want to consider that this kind of engine tends to be loud, and your neighbors might not appreciate your extra-noisy snow blowing process when it is needed.

Advantages of Commercial Snow Blowers

5 Best Commercial Snow Blowers: Versatile and Powerful!

Commercial snow blowers are made Trusted Source Snow Blower | The Canadian Encyclopedia A snow blower is a mechanical device that clears snow from a surface by collecting it and forcibly throwing it to another location. It was invented in Quebec by Arthur Sicard in 1925. Snow blowers typically use an auger — a corkscrew-shaped blade made of metal, rubber or plastic — to collect and then distribute snow. Some snow blowers, known as two-stage snow blowers, also feature a collecting chamber and impeller to make it easier to clear large deposits of snow. These powerful machines help keep streets, sidewalks and driveways clear during winter. www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca to survive tough work and tough cold conditions. They will start readily even when they have not been used recently, and they are easy to use and drive. Getting a low-quality snow blower for your home or business use will only end up costing you time and money overall.

Investing in a quality snow blower is a great way to make sure that clearing snow each year is easy and that you do not have to struggle with issues related to the poor performance of your snow-blowing machine. It is hard enough to clear snow off our driveway or yard. You should never make it even harder by having the wrong snow blower on your side.

Important Features

As mentioned earlier, we reviewed items like engine size, clearing width, propulsion, and ease of steering to help you to find the perfect machine for your needs. The features that you care most about might vary depending on your height and the size of the area that you need to clear.

Engine

The size of the engine can determine the maneuverability of a machine as well as its overall performance. Smaller units will have less powerful engines, but this can be perfect for small driveways or users that are smaller than average. Being able to determine how much power you need can help you get the right snowblower for your needs. The Husqvarna ST 430T might be perfect for clearing out large areas and heavy snow loads, but you might want a smaller unit for ease of use and storage.

Clearing width

Clearing width can really matter if you have a large area to clean up. Being able to both clear a large swath which each passes and throw the snow far enough away can make your clean-up so much easier each time it snows.

The Generac SB15130GENG clears 30 inches with each pass, which is 6 inches more than some other units on our list. This can really add up if you have a very large area to clean up.

Auger type

The type of auger in your snow blower can affect your ability to pick up different kinds of snow and ice. Chute rotation

Being able to target the chute properly is a big help when you are cleaning up, particularly if you need to clean up large areas. It is important to think about how much adjustment you need to have access to for this part of your snow removal process. If you have a hill on one side of your driveway, for example, or challenging terrain around the driveway, you might need to look at the chute rotation carefully. This part of the function of your new snow blower can make or break the way that you use it. Having to right with your unit all the time just wastes your energy and makes your task tougher.

While extra features might not be the usual best method of selecting your snow blower unit, the machines on this list are all great machines, and the added features can be your determining factor if they are that important to you.

Size and weight

The efficiency of your machine has a lot to do with the size and weight of the unit. You might not need a huge machine to take care of your needs if you have a small driveway to clear. I have some back problems that developed recently, but I still have to use a snowblower from time to time. Can somebody recommend a thrower that would be easy to maneuver?

I think the Husqvarna commercial snow blowers above would be just right for you. The power steering feature makes it easy to maneuver.

Is it worth it to get a commercial snow blower for residential use?

avatar
Khalil Mccarthy

I was looking for a snow thrower that runs off of a battery. I found two: PowerSmart and the Ego. This product did not disappoint me and is built well for an electric snow thrower. I had some snow from a few weeks ago, it was heavier and had ice on top from melting and freezing. The machine chewed it up without any trouble. I am very satisfied with this purchase and recommend this product to anyone who needs one like it. I only suggest you read the instructions beforehand. I thought it was faulty at first but there is a safety feature that will not allow the thrower to start up as it should unless you follow the steps in the manual. It will drive but without an auger, it won’t work. The button for turning on and off the auger is labeled clearly in the manual or on the unit, but I didn’t know that at first because it isn’t labeled clearly enough in either place. Other than that, this item works great and is still worth buying even with that issue because I was impatient about reading instructions

This thing about the auger is a common complaint. They even explain it in their product description, right the top of it, lol. So make sure you hold that on/off button, pull the trigger, and only then release tha button.

This was a puzzle for me as well at first. I should start reading the manuals first>D

Does anyone has something to say about the premium Husqvarna ST427T here? So few reviews online, I’m struggling.

avatar
Shiloh Alvarado

It is expensive, but it’s worth it if you live in snowy climate. The tires have great traction and they can even push the snow over my wall. I would recommend this to anyone who gets lots of snow.

avatar
Rumplestiltskin

This snow blower is easy for anyone to use. The electric start is very helpful, and the snow blower moves a lot of snow. I would make one change to the forward hydrostatic drive, so that it can go faster when there’s not as much snow on the ground. Still, this has been great for my back because it’s easier to push.
